Fatterico's Outrageous Cybersmear Of Ron Brynaert

On May 25th, 2012, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Patrick Frey published, Convicted Bomber Brett Kimberlin, Neal Rauhauser, Ron Brynaert, and Their Campaign of Political Terrorism.

Donkeytale has informed me it's been pretty obvious from back then that the audio specialist report was flimsy at best, and that it's already been debunked anyway by Ron Brynaert and blonde bombshell Lane Lipton.

That being said, I will be able to mail this one in. I read the report earlier this morning, and yeah, what a load of cybersmear shite Patrick Frey is trying to get away with.

This is all that Frey included of the report in his yellow journalism, tortious entry:
In this case the following files were presented for evaluation: Tag names for these four recordings are shown in BOLD. The[y] represent calls from two Swat Hoax cases, one involving Patrick Frey and one involving Mike Stack [the man from New Jersey -- ed.].

G-8025959 FREY SWAT – Call made to 911 claiming a shooting at Mr. Frey’s residence on 7/1/2011 at 12:16 AM. Caller impersonates Patrick Frey.

Stack Call – STACK SWAT – Call made to police dispatch in Readington, New Jersey. 6/23/2011 Caller impersonates Mike Stack.

Ron Brynaert Interview.mp3 – BRYNAERT KNOWN – an internet radio interview. This caller is suspected of being the Swat caller re: Frey.

Lee Call-in Radio Show – LEE KNOWN (Lee is interviewer’s name, not caller.) This caller is suspected of being the Swat caller re: Stack.

. . . .

CONCLUSION: Considering all of the evidence presented, it is my expert forensic examiner opinion that it is probable that all voice samples come from the same person.
I was worried I'd have to research audio voice verification techniques. Fortunately that is unnecessary. Even if the report was based on hard science, a big if, it clearly exonerates Brynaert.

I recommend folks read the report for themselves to understand how this has all been a lame Frey attempt at selling disinfo. Let's just say even conspiracy fruitcake Glenn Beck would be holding his nose if by chance he reads it. In short, Patrick Frey has pulled a BradBlog Friedman or a Wayne Madsen.

This dude's a public prosecutor? He just threw away any credibility he has ever had. Let's take a closer looksie.

Hmmm, what did Fatso leave out of his entry?
• Frey Swat and Brynaert Known cannot be shown to be the same speaker based on the SIS II testing, possibly due to small sample duration and the speaker disguising his voice; however, as explained below, it is this examiner’s opinion that Frey Swat and Brynaert Known are probably the same speaker, based on the totality of the evidence, including other testing.
Go read the report. It's linked to in Frey's post. There was no explanation for Gibson's opinion, "Frey Swat and Brynaert Known are probably the same speaker based on the totality of the evidence, including other testing."

I spoke on the phone with Ron last week. He sounded quite sane and gentle. He's clearly, imho, a much nicer person in real life than on the internet.

I expected him to have a nasal voice. He doesn't. What that means is that the interview he did which is available on the internet is a skewed version of what he actually sounds like. That makes sense, because a couple months ago Ron was saying he doesn't sound as nasal as the SWAT caller, and I was thinking wtf.

Let's go to the parts of the report Fatterico decided weren't worthy of inclusion in his smear piece.
• Stack Swat and Lee Known are the same speaker.
• Stack Swat and Frey Swat are the same speaker.
• The match between all other pairings is uncertain.
Aaah. In my expert trollbusting opinion Patrick Frey is a disinfo f**k for not including this. Is this representative of how Frey tries cases in real life? That is a scary thought.
Similarly, the Brynaert Known comparison to Stack Swat and Lee Known hover around 50%. This is an indication of similarity, but not a positive match.
This is good proof, imho, that Ron Brynaert's voice was mimicked by the SWAT callers. Ron should change his name to Lee Harvey Brynaert.

You see, the point of all this has been to try Ron Brynaert through internet courts. Frey is hoaxing or was duped into thinking Brynaert made the calls. He even realises there isn't any proof for Ron to be charged with the crime. Patrick Frey understands that all the police involvement in the world will not solve anything, since the calls cannot be traced.
To my trained ears, they all sound very very similar.
I don't doubt that Gibson has some skills for comparing voices on audio. To me this is strong circumstantial evidence the SWAT caller was trying to sound like Ron.

If I'm not mistaken, Gibson has done work in the same building as Frey. I'm not saying they are buddies. Nonetheless it's easy to see Frey paid Gibson hard cash to give an "expert" opinion on whether Ron was the other three voices.

All Gibson has provided is that there are similarities between the four samples. Why did Patrick Frey leave out mention of things in the report which were in Ron's favour? Is it because otherwise this bogus meme of the Left silencing the Right through SWATtings wouldn't have gone viral?

So this is what I think. The SWAT caller was trying to sound like Ron Brynaert. Now think. Who would do that? Why would Brett Kimberlin and/or Neal Rauhauser try to frame Ron Brynaert?

They wouldn't!

If the SWAT calls were made to silence right wingers blogging on Kimberlin, the calls simply would have been made by Neal's nephew Skippy or whoever in exchange for a pound of weed.

I could go through the other parts of Patrick Frey's entry and show how he had zero proof Ron Brynaert works for BK and Neal. I'm not going to because of time constraints.

I am concerned about the unfair smearing of Ron as SWATBoy for a few reasons. I never suspected a public prosecutor could be either a sadistic cybersmearer or world class idiot. I had thought the Stack call sounded like Ron in a few spots and blogged on it. Since talking to Ron on the phone, I no longer believe that. The interview he did was tinny or something. Thus, Brynaert was mimicked for what he doesn't even sound like. We are basically being given a lesson in internet convolution 101.

My original impression was that the SWAT calls were made on Frey and Stack in order to send the message: Ye all are better off not discussing anything and moving on. That somehow made sense.

However, let's consider the possible motives for the last two SWATs. Let's start with Erickson's. I doubt Kimberlin or Rauhauser would be scared of him or other right wingers discussing BK. In fact, CNN's Erickson getting SWATted was perhaps the biggest reason this story finally made it into mainstream news and got the attention of Republican Congressmen.

Consider why Aaron Walker would have been SWATted. The schtick for that one is, "I am Aaron Walker, and the evil "them" are not going to scare me into silence. It doesn't matter that I was never Seth's attorney. We are all Aaron Walker NOW! Check sidebar for how to to donate and please purchase my book on Islamofascists."

Ok, but to buy into that you'd also have to believe Aaron Walker thought an I-Pad was an explosive.

This is the problem with hoaxes. The creators never know when to stifle it and move on to a new one. BradBlog/VR's Michael Connell threatened by Karl Rove hoax had the same fatal flaw. Some people do go to the disinfo well one time too many and risk losing credibility.

I think this is what has happened with the Breitbart Cult. They've had a lot of people buying into this since late May. I truly believe their credibility can only go downhill from this point on. Aaron Walker is simply a boring writer. Mandy Nagy is a music major also with limited skills. Stranahan and Darby are useless. Patterico has exposed himself as being a nasty cybersmearer.

Fatterico has jumped the shark. Since Andrew Breitbart is gone, expect the Breitbart Cult to also fade as an internet player. Though they needn't feel too sad about their inevitable demise. Being exposed is not the end of the blogging world for these disinfo losers. While their significance will certainly wane, they'll still be around albeit in a much more limited incarnation. Jason Leopold, Fintan Dunne, Wayne Madsen, Mike Rivero, and Brad Friedman are still plugging away. So too will the Breitbart Cult.

I implore Ron Brynaert to sue Patrick Frey for all he's worth. That's the only way a message will be sent to people like him that he can't do what he's done and expect to get away with it. But there's the itch. Perhaps Ron is an FBI informant, and the FBI can't risk that coming out through discovery? I think if Ron Brynaert doesn't sue Patrick Frey, that's the explanation.
